We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead our project teams and drive business growth. Responsibilities- Manage mechanical engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Lead and direct multidisciplinary project teams, providing technical guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with public and private sector clients, identifying new business opportunities and driving growth.
- Design and build plumbing, drainage, service piping systems, heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems, as well as energy calculations and piping systems.
- Develop and implement business development strategies to drive growth and revenue.
- Contribute to the development of junior staff, providing technical direction, training, and mentoring.
- Participate in professional associations and committees to enhance Dillon's corporate profile.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- Licensed to practice as a professional engineer in Nova Scotia or eligible to be licensed within six months.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in mechanical engineering, including project management and business development.
- Expert knowledge of building mechanical systems design codes and standards.
- Strong working knowledge of building plumbing, drainage, service piping systems, heating, ventilating, and air conditioning design, and energy calculations using proprietary software packages.
- Experience in pumping and piping distribution systems, ventilation, and exhaust systems for laboratories, machine shops, and commercial settings.
- Demonstrated abilities in direct digital control systems.
- Development of design team leadership with the ability to create and manage design budgets, client deliverables, and project schedules.
