FunctionAbility Rehabilitation Services is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Communicative Disorders Assistant CDA to join our team. As a Communicative Disorders Assistant CDA, you will work under the direction of qualified speech-language pathologists to facilitate the delivery of speech-language pathology treatment for our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the recommendations made by speech-language pathologists regarding cognitive-communication disorders, language, dysphagia, speech, voice, and fluency.
  • Provide client and family-centred care, which is goal directed, evidence based and outcome oriented.
  • Plan creative and meaningful treatment activities that are individualized to meet a client's needs and interests.
  • Record data relative to client performance and report changes in client performance/status to the supervising speech-language pathologist.

Requirements:
  • Graduate of a Communicative Disorders Assistant program.
  • Registration with the Communicative Disorders Assistant Association of Canada (CDACC).
