Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled GIS (Geographic Information Systems) Specialist to join our team at Spruce Infotech. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in geospatial technologies and methodologies, with a strong emphasis on engineering and transportation sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize FME (Feature Manipulation Engine) for data transformation and integration.
  • Leverage knowledge in railroad and engineering sectors to enhance project outcomes.
  • Develop and optimize SQL and PL-SQL scripts for data management.
  • Implement Agile methodologies to streamline project workflows.
  • Apply Oracle Spatial Technology and Spatial Algorithms for advanced geospatial analysis.
  • Design and develop GIS Linear Referencing Systems (LRS) to support asset management.
  • Model GIS Network Topology and develop spatial algorithms to improve data accuracy.
  • Manage GIS technical environments, ensuring effective asset management system design and maintenance.
  • Oversee Engineering Assets Management Systems to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Engage in geomatics and system development to enhance project delivery.
  • Maintain and enhance linear reference models (LRM and LRS) and GIS functionalities in Oracle Spatial.
  • Integrate custom software solutions throughout the project lifecycle, from architecture to deployment.
  • Adhere to established systems and data security protocols to safeguard information.
  • Possess a Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Geographical Information Systems (GIS) as an asset.
