Job Description

At Luxoft, we are seeking a skilled Java Regulatory Developer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing Java-based web applications using industry-standard software development practices, techniques, tools, and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop complex business components in Java, deploying to Java EE Application Servers.
  • Work closely with the Financial Markets and Products team to develop Regulatory-related items.
  • Have a working knowledge of various asset classes, including Swaps, Bonds, and P&L attribution.
  • Develop detailed knowledge of reports and report layouts pertaining to specific schedules within regulatory reports.
  • Interpret Fed instructions for specific regulatory reports and convert them into technical requirements for building regulatory reports.
  • Have a good understanding of Capital regulations for Canadian and USA Banks.
  • Provide consulting services to internal business groups on process improvement projects designed to improve business results.
  • Engage and coordinate change across multiple groups.

Requirements:

  • Around 5 years of experience as a software engineer working on large-scale development projects.
  • Strong knowledge of core Java and cloud computing.
  • Working knowledge of building Java services.
  • Experience working with ZeroMQ, Apache Kafka, Google ProtoBuf, and REST services.
  • Good understanding of Swaps, Bonds, and P&L attribution.
  • Experience working on big data sets with bi-temporal support.
  • Strong leadership qualities and experience managing teams is a plus.
