Job Title: Personal Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Comfora Home Care. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their own homes.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personal care and support to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. You will also assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and other daily tasks. Additionally, you will participate in a government or community program that supports newcomers and refugees, and provide support and mentorship to help them settle into their new life.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and other daily tasks
  • Participate in a government or community program that supports newcomers and refugees
  • Provide support and mentorship to help newcomers and refugees settle into their new life
  • Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations
  • Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees
  • Facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to indigenous workers
Requirements:
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Ability to work 30 to 40 hours per week
  • Relocation costs covered by employer
