Engineering Director

Thorens Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Director to lead our engineering department. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for planning and controlling the activities of the engineering department, ensuring rigorous budgetary management, improving performance, efficiency, and quality of services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and technical leadership for successful sales and project implementation.
- Supervise the execution of projects upstream and downstream.
- Maintain all drawings and documentation related to sales and project execution.
- Prepare bills of material efficiently and in a timely manner after the sale of a project.
- Monitor the reliability and performance of all internal systems to suggest improvements.
- Ensure our products meet quality expectations.
- Manage sales software developments by defining requirements, objectives, and deadlines.
- Prepare and manage the engineering department budget.
- Design strategies for future development projects based on overall company objectives and resources.
- Assign clear roles and responsibilities to team members and ensure effective supervision and performance management.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of professional experience as an Engineering Manager or similar senior-level position.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited university.
- Experience managing, designing, implementing, and evaluating multiple projects.
- Extensive experience in the design and logic controls of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and/or dehumidifiers.
- Strong oral and written skills in French and English.
- Excellent interpersonal, management, and communication skills.
- Permanent position, full time.
