About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team at Irene Marciano. As a Home Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care to clients, ensuring their dignity and comfort are maintained at all times.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, taking into account clients' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Assist clients with mobility, including walking, transferring, and using assistive devices.
  • Provide companionship and social interaction to clients, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for clients.
  • Assist clients with medication management, including administering medications and monitoring side effects.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to clients, helping them to cope with challenging situations.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate.
  • Health Care Aide Certificate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
Working Conditions

  • Work in employer's/client's home.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and bending.
  • Handling heavy loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
