Tax Director

KPMG in Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving our tax planning, advisory initiatives, tax reporting, and tax compliance preparation.
Key Responsibilities- Lead client engagements, providing strategic guidance and expertise to clients across various industries.
- Review and ensure the accuracy and completeness of work performed by Managers and staff.
- Develop and implement tax strategies, leveraging your expertise in tax planning, controversy management, and international tax.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and develop tailored solutions.
- Manage and lead cross-functional teams, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
- Stay up-to-date with changing tax laws and regulations, applying your knowledge to drive business growth and minimize risk.
- 10+ years of experience in tax, with a strong background in public accounting.
- Professional accounting designation (CPA) and completion of the CPA In-Depth Tax Course or a Master's degree in Tax.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex tax issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.
