About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation
    • Ensure all dishes, utensils, and equipment are cleaned and sanitized to the highest standards.
    • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including work surfaces, cupboards, and storage areas.
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items, including portioning, wrapping, and plating.
    • Operate dishwashers, wash and sanitize dishes, and maintain a clean and organized dish area.
    • Replenish condiments and supplies as needed.
  • General Kitchen Duties
    • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
    • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and maintain a clean and organized waste disposal area.
    • Assist with food storage and rotation, ensuring that all food is stored and handled safely.
  • Physical Demands and Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent standing, walking, and lifting.
    • Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Personal Qualities and Skills
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
Language and Work Conditions
  • English is the primary language of communication.
  • 40 hours per week, permanent position.
