Job Title: Child and Youth Worker

Blue Sky Family Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Youth Worker to join our team. As a key member of our group home setting, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and address the needs of clients, ensuring their eligibility for specific services.
  • Develop and implement service delivery plans within the community, promoting positive outcomes.
  • Provide crisis intervention and suicide prevention services, ensuring the well-being of our clients.
  • Manage conflict situations effectively, maintaining a safe and respectful environment.
  • Supervise activities and provide guidance to clients living in group homes and half-way houses.
  • Implement behavior management programs, promoting positive behavior and growth.
  • Liaise with social services agencies and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Assist clients with special needs, providing individualized support and care.
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings, promoting socialization and community integration.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in a group home setting is an asset.
  • First Aid Certificate and clearance checks (Criminal Record, Child Abuse Registry, and Child Welfare).
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Judgment, client focus, flexibility, initiative, and teamwork.
Work Environment:

Fast-paced environment, working under pressure, and physically demanding. A permanent position with 30-40 hours per week, requiring flexibility and a strong work ethic.
