Position Overview

About the Role:

The Service Technician Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the Service Technicians and Drivers during their operations at various commercial and residential locations, as well as within the branch. This position offers a strong foundation for a career in the propane and fuel service sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in loading propane tanks onto delivery vehicles, utilizing manual effort or mobile cranes alongside team members.
  • Support the installation of propane tanks at customer sites.
  • Contribute to the safe operation of propane delivery vehicles.
  • Engage in trenching activities, either manually or with the use of a trencher.
  • Assist Service Technicians with various installation tasks, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
  • Help maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Obtain necessary certifications to perform minor tasks (training will be provided).

Qualifications:

  • Must be physically fit to climb onto and off flatbed trucks.
  • Mechanically inclined with a willingness to learn to operate small machinery.
  • Able to frequently lift weights of up to 60 lbs.
  • Strong focus on safety practices is essential.
  • A genuine desire to learn; interest in obtaining a gas license is a plus.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours.
