The Warehouse Shipper - Receiver role is integral to our operations, ensuring that all warehouse activities are executed with precision and exceptional customer service. This position supervises daily warehouse tasks across various functions, including receiving shipments, fulfilling orders, and managing logistics for both incoming and outgoing freight. The successful candidate will prioritize daily workflows to meet customer demands effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Organizing and processing outbound orders for clients, which includes picking, packaging, and shipping products.
- Loading and unloading freight from supplier trucks.
- Conducting inventory management by counting and storing products in the warehouse, which may involve lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Performing inspections and inventory audits to address discrepancies between ordered and received goods, focusing on quality, quantity, and accuracy.
- Updating incoming orders using Oracle's NetSuite and preparing necessary documentation.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of stock in both warehouse and retail spaces.
- Ensuring inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and effective inventory control measures.
- Coordinating transportation logistics as needed to fulfill customer orders.
- Identifying issues and employing problem-solving skills to resolve them efficiently.
- Reporting damaged or defective items promptly to facilitate inventory adjustments.
- Upholding daily housekeeping and safety protocols within the warehouse environment.
- Accurately processing orders designated for shipping the following day, including completing the order log with precise information.
- Informing the Warehouse Lead Hand of any orders that remain unshipped.
- Managing returned goods by either restocking, disposing, holding for review, or returning to suppliers.
- Demonstrating the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
