Position Overview

As a Network Systems Technician at 555 Wireless Ltd., you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our network infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure seamless connectivity and efficient operations within our telecommunications environment.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting between 3 months to less than 1 year.
Work Environment
  • Engagement within the telecommunications sector.
  • Collaboration with a telecommunications service provider.
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer, troubleshoot, and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and associated computer workstations and peripherals.
  • Assess and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software.
  • Provide effective problem-solving support to network users.
  • Implement security protocols for data, software, and hardware.
  • Conduct routine network startups and shutdowns while maintaining accurate control records.
  • Perform data backups and manage disaster recovery processes.
  • Establish local area networks and facilitate Internet connectivity.
  • Utilize network traffic and security monitoring tools to enhance server performance.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Oversee a team of 3-4 individuals.

Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year and less than 2 years of relevant experience.
