About Us: Mevotech is a recognized leader in the North American automotive aftermarket sector, specializing in the innovative engineering and design of driveline, steering, and suspension components.

Position Overview: Reporting directly to the Vice President of Engineering and Research, the Head of Quality Assurance will be responsible for formulating and executing the strategic framework for all suppliers and contract manufacturers. This role will focus on developing and implementing cutting-edge sourcing strategies that align with business objectives and drive cost efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead negotiations with suppliers and contract manufacturers to secure favorable terms.
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics, cost reduction initiatives, and savings plans.
  • Enhance the tendering process in light of potential acquisitions.
  • Build and sustain collaborative partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders to promote synergy and influence optimal sourcing strategies in line with corporate goals.
  • Proactively identify and manage supply chain risks, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.
  • Develop and enforce purchasing and contract management guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain and quality assurance teams to maintain and assess supplier performance metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • Approximately 10 years of experience in strategic sourcing, contract manufacturing, or supply chain management within the aftermarket, heavy-duty, or original equipment sectors.
  • Proven experience in negotiating significant contracts.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a track record of managing and inspiring teams.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to independently advance projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Work Arrangement: This position offers a hybrid work model with three days onsite and two days remote.
