About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at Walters Group. As a key member of our quality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in our steel fabrication processes.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in quality management, with experience in the structural steel industry. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving our quality management system, auditing our processes, and developing quality plans and procedures.

You will also be responsible for managing internal and external non-conformities, conducting root cause analyses, and implementing corrective and preventative actions. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing our welding program, including training, technology, and process development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and improve our quality management system
  • Audit our processes and develop quality plans and procedures
  • Manage internal and external non-conformities
  • Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective and preventative actions
  • Manage our welding program, including training, technology, and process development
Requirements
  • University degree or equivalent
  • Current P.Eng designation in Province of ON as a minimum
  • CSA W47.1 qualifications as a Designated Welding Engineer for Design and Procedures and Practice
  • 7-10 years' experience working in the Structural Steel Industry
  • Demonstrated experience in Quality Management and coordination of a Quality System
  • Demonstrated experience in Weld Engineering within the Structural Steel Industry
