As a Cultural Heritage Specialist, you will play a vital role in our Environmental Division, which has been recognized for over 30 years for delivering exceptional services to a diverse clientele across Canada. We are seeking a motivated individual to lead our Cultural Heritage initiatives, working closely with senior management and project teams.

Qualifications:

  • A degree or diploma in heritage planning, conservation, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in cultural heritage.
  • Membership with the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals (CAHP) is preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team in cultural heritage projects.
  • Strong track record in proposal writing and project execution.
  • In-depth knowledge of heritage legislation and best practices.
  • Experience in providing guidance on heritage matters to various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in conducting historic property research and assessments.
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive heritage reports and assessments.
  • Familiarity with municipal heritage planning processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in relevant software applications.
  • A valid driver's license is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the growth of the Cultural Heritage group through strategic hiring and client engagement.
  • Prepare and finalize cultural heritage reports independently.
  • Manage project proposals, invoicing, and overall project management.
  • Engage in client relations and business development activities.
  • Represent McIntosh Perry at industry events related to cultural heritage.
  • Collaborate with various departments to promote cultural heritage services.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
