Job Title: Physiotherapist Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Physiotherapist Assistant to join our team at DEV WELLNESS & REHAB CLINIC. As a Physiotherapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our physiotherapists in providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Physiotherapists: Work closely with our physiotherapists to administer tests, instruct patients on test procedures, and record results.
  • Treatment Programs: Carry out treatment programs under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities.
  • Hearing Instrument Specialist: Examine adult clients to assess hearing loss, recommend type of hearing instrument, take earmold impressions, and perform follow-up examinations and readjustments.
  • Support Services: Position patients for treatments by chiropractor or machine, conduct research in physiotherapy, document patient rehabilitation progress, schedule and confirm appointments, and take patients' general medical and ophthalmic history.
  • Area of Specialization: Physiotherapy
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, physically demanding, and repetitive tasks.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
  • Support for Persons with Disabilities: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Support for Youths: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
  • Language: English
  • Hours of Work: 32 to 35 hours per week
