Cashier - Sales Associate

We are seeking a skilled Cashier to join our team at DENA GENERAL STORE. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring a smooth shopping experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Process payments via cash, credit/debit cards, and other accepted methods.
- Scan items and calculate total payment for goods or services required.
- Provide change and handle customer transactions in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the cash wrap and surrounding areas.
- Restock shelves and ensure that the sales floor is well-stocked and visually appealing.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Work effectively in a team environment to achieve sales goals and objectives.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous retail experience an asset.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a POS system.
