Position Overview:
We are seeking a Field Adjuster specializing in Property Large Loss to enhance our dedicated team. This role offers a hybrid work model, allowing for a blend of remote work and valuable in-person collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Field Adjuster on our Property Large Loss team, your primary duties will include:

  • Managing and resolving large and intricate commercial property claims, typically exceeding $1M.
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including legal counsel, consultants, and engineers, to evaluate coverage, liability, and damages.
  • Providing mentorship and technical guidance to regional file handlers to ensure effective claims management.
  • Training team members on the nuances of complex claims handling.
  • Collaborating with Underwriting and Loss Prevention teams to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service to brokers, clients, and colleagues.
  • Meeting key performance indicators related to claims development and expense management.
  • Negotiating claims effectively and attending settlement conferences as necessary.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in managing large and complex commercial property claims.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to navigate complex issues.
  • Excellent communication abilities to foster positive business relationships.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to changing circumstances.
  • Strong organizational skills to develop effective strategies.
  • A passion for collaboration and mentoring others.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory and legal requirements.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is considered an asset.
