Job Overview

We are seeking an exceptional software developer to join our Research and Development team in Toronto. As a member of our team, you will work on designing, developing, and optimizing features in our 2D and 3D software products, including Houdini and HQueue.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop high-performance software features in Houdini and HQueue.
  2. Implement next-generation help and search systems in Houdini.
  3. Enhance audio and video integration in Houdini.
  4. Maintain and improve the Houdini Object Model (HOM) API.
  5. Develop and maintain critical R&D infrastructure systems.
  6. Support other pipeline team development areas as needed.
  7. Engage with the Houdini user community.
Requirements
  1. Proven experience as a C++ and Python software developer in a professional environment.
  2. Computer Science degree or equivalent.
  3. Strong knowledge of modern C++ programming.
  4. Strong knowledge of Python programming.
  5. Parallel programming and distributed programming experience.
  6. Ability to learn independently and work well in a team environment.
  7. Excellent problem-solving skills and communication abilities.
Desired Skills
  1. Working knowledge of Houdini and HQueue.
  2. Experience with Qt or other GUI frameworks.
  3. Cross-platform development experience.
  4. Game or film industry experience.
