We are seeking a skilled Backend Java Developer to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. As a Backend Java Developer, you will work on multiple applications, developing innovative and creative solutions based on interpretation and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:


• Develop and maintain multiple applications using Java.
• Provide design and documentation for applications and functions.
• Participate in establishing and maintaining application standards and processes.
• Communicate technical direction to the business and within the customer's IT organization.
• Advise on issues of systems integration, compatibility, scalability, and multiple platforms.

Basic Qualifications:


• 3-5 years of experience in Java Development.
• Understanding of at least one programming language, such as Java, C++, or C#.
• Knowledge of coding, testing, and debugging applications.


• Knowledge of application configuration, maintenance, and support.
• Understanding of SQL.
• Ability to effectively troubleshoot program errors.


• General understanding of how technology decisions relate to business needs.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
