Job Summary

The Island Health organization is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and diagnostic testing
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and therapeutic interventions
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide patient-centered care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines in nursing
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Nursing or a related field
  • Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the relevant professional regulatory body
  • Experience working in a primary care setting, preferably in a leadership or autonomous practice role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
