Engage in the ABI Transitional Housing initiative at George Pearson Centre, where we foster a supportive atmosphere for individuals recovering from severe brain injuries and hospital stays.
As a Physiotherapist 2, you will collaborate with a diverse team of professionals to assist clients through their recovery journeys. Your responsibilities will include providing therapeutic care, coordinating treatment services, and empowering clients to take charge of their rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, implement, and review treatment plans for clients experiencing physical or functional challenges
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure client-focused care
- Leverage available resources to create and execute effective care strategies
- Participate in quality assurance and educational initiatives within the program
Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Full registration with the College of Physical Therapists of BC
- Active membership in the Physiotherapy Association of British Columbia
- Possession of a valid BC Driver's License
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong foundation in evidence-based clinical methodologies
- Proficient in physiotherapy evaluation and intervention techniques
- Ability to work effectively with clients and interdisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and harm reduction strategies
- Commitment to cultural safety and awareness of diversity issues
