Drywall Installer Job Description

Lions Drywall Taping and Construction Ltd. is seeking a skilled Drywall Installer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for installation.
  • Cure freshly plastered surfaces to achieve a durable finish.
  • Fills joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Finish corners and angles, and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to ensure a precise fit.
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow the coat to dry.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in drywall installation.
  • Dependability, flexibility, and good judgement are essential for this role.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
  • Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
Working Conditions:
  • Permanent position.
  • 40 hours per week.
  • English is the primary language of communication.
