About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement new menu items and specials, taking into account seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
    • Ensure that all menu items are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Staff Management
    • Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks, dishwashers, and other support staff.
    • Ensure that all staff members are aware of and adhere to food safety and handling procedures.
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels of ingredients, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that we have sufficient stock to meet customer demand.
    • Order supplies and equipment as needed, taking into account seasonal fluctuations and customer preferences.
  • Quality Control
    • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all menu items meet our high standards.
    • Identify and address any quality control issues, working with the kitchen team to implement improvements.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that all customers receive excellent service, including prompt and friendly service, and accurate and efficient ordering and delivery.
    • Address any customer complaints or issues in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Skills
    • Excellent culinary skills, including cooking, presentation, and menu planning.
    • Strong leadership and management skills, including staff supervision and training.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
