Job Title: Data Analytics Specialist

Job Summary:

The Data Analytics team at CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Data Analytics Specialist to join our team. As an ETL Developer, you will play a critical role in receiving and processing work packages, working closely with the business to understand requirements, and delivering project solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load and Transform Data: Load target databases using complex transformations from our source systems, ensuring best practices and standards are followed.
  • Collaborate with Data Architects: Work with the Data Architects to understand business requirements and technical specifications, and translate them into ETL code.
  • Participate in Design Reviews: Participate in design review sessions, code reviews, and Agile team meetings to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Develop Test Scenarios: Develop test scenarios and perform in-depth unit tests, including end-user reviews.
  • Define ETL Job Sequences: Define ETL job sequence and dependencies, including error logging and restart processes, and develop ETL run books.
  • Work on Technical Debt Projects: Work on technical debt projects and with the Assessment team to ensure all intakes for ERP, NGTT, and Towers are completed in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant ETL/DI experience, 3+ year experience in IBM infosphere tool suite (DataStage & QualityStage), and 3+ year development with database technologies.
  • Skills: Teradata experience, cloud technologies (Azure, AWS), familiarity with Agile methodology, and familiarity with JIRA.
