Description
Paper Excellence is seeking a highly skilled Senior Buyer to join our Procurement Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for sourcing, procuring, and managing inventory of designated commodities. You will lead strategic negotiations and secure services as required to support company operations and projects, ensuring all activities are performed in an ethical, economical, and quality manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business needs.
- Negotiate and secure services through sourcing and negotiations.
- Manage and negotiate various contracts and contractor rates for site services.
- Procure and manage inventory, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
- Monitor market trends and make recommendations for improvement.
- Prioritize and multitask duties to support immediate rush requirements.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary designation in Supply Chain Management/Procurement or equivalent in Basic Purchasing Fundamentals.
- Minimum three (3) years experience in Procurement, Materials Management, Project Management.
- Experience with Pulp and Paper industry an asset.
- SAP experience, MRP analysis, and process experience with Microsoft programs required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communications skills in both dynamic team environments and with vendors.
Compensation and Benefits:
- $76,500 - $93,500 CAD per annum (Actual salary offer will be commensurate with education, experience, and internal parity).
