Department Overview
The Assurance and Advisory team plays a crucial role in driving strategic initiatives and optimizing processes within our organization. We partner with various business units to ensure effective risk management and provide assurance on critical operational areas.
Position Overview
As the Senior Analyst, Advisory and Assurance, you will take charge of executing the audit strategy for President's Choice Financial. Your role will involve collaborating with diverse stakeholders on significant regulatory, operational, and strategic projects. Your responsibilities will encompass regulatory audits, process enhancements, data analysis, risk assessments, and high-priority consulting initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the planning, execution, and reporting of multiple high-stakes Assurance and Advisory projects, focusing on governance and regulatory compliance.
- Facilitate meetings with senior executives to discuss audit findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with business units to develop actionable Management Action Plans that address identified issues and promote continuous improvement.
- Build and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
- Ensure timely and budget-compliant completion of the audit plan.
- Conduct research on emerging trends and best practices in risk assessment and auditing.
- Deliver visually engaging presentations and reports to stakeholders.
- Champion initiatives that enhance service quality and promote industry best practices.
- Manage client relationships effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key business stakeholders to adapt to evolving business needs.
Qualifications and Skills
- A bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related discipline.
- Over 3 years of experience in banking or financial services, with a focus on audit or consulting.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards in the financial sector.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, or MBA are advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of risk management frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present to senior leadership.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and project management.
