Job Title: Mechanical Designer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our Welding Laboratory group at Liburdi Turbine Services Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing various elements of complex welding systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop machine and fixture design from concept to detail drawings
  • Review design interaction with other machines and tools in a complex system
  • Review design compliance to technical specifications and requirements
  • Develop technical documents such as testing procedures and manuals
  • Develop design compliance documents including FMEA, FME and other reports
  • Interaction with the customer, internal team and vendors to ensure schedule compliance
  • Project management
Requirements:
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree or Mechanical Engineering Technology diploma is required
  • 3D CAD experience required, Solid Edge experience an asset
  • Practical design experience strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of welding processes, specifically LASER, GTAW, and PAW an asset
  • Robotics experience an asset
