POSITION SUMMARY
In collaboration with the Project Manager, the Project Management Specialist plays a crucial role in the execution and oversight of supply chain initiatives from inception to completion. This role involves documenting newly identified opportunities, guiding projects through the Change Request (CR) process, and ensuring adherence to timelines and budgetary constraints. The Specialist will establish and maintain systems for tracking project progress, ensuring that all stakeholders are kept informed through consistent reporting and communication.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate tactical efforts across various functions to plan, execute, and monitor project activities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, advocating for necessary actions to meet project timelines, costs, and quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain a monitoring system to track progress, proactively identify risks, and communicate or escalate issues as needed.
  • Prepare Statements of Work (SOWs), milestone plans, and cost forecasts while maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings, keeping detailed records, and providing administrative support to leadership as required.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager and serve as a backup when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-5 years of relevant project experience, preferably in a warehousing or logistics context.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Green Belt certification (or in progress) is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with ERP, WMS, and TMS software.
  • Experience in operational problem modeling, process flow charting, and value stream mapping.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Project and Excel.
  • Proven ability to create project plans, reports, and documentation.
  • Strong skills in facilitating meetings and communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines and deliverables.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to working across functions.
  • Aptitude for clarifying ambiguous situations.
  • Politically aware and sensitive to organizational dynamics.
