About the Role:

Giant Tiger is seeking a skilled Cashier (Part-Time) to join our team in Collingwood. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a high level of customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, using electronic cash registers and self-checkouts.
  • Replenish merchandise around the checkout area, maintaining a well-stocked and organized environment.
  • Ensure health and safety policies and guidelines are followed, maintaining a safe working environment for all associates.
  • Follow loss prevention best practices, preventing theft and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures when selling tobacco and lottery products.

Requirements:

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Strong customer service skills, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this role include standing and walking for extended periods, bending, twisting, and squatting. You will also be required to lift and move up to 18 kg (40 lbs) and perform tasks involving firm grasping and repetitive hand motions.
