We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Onyx Stones & Custom Cabinets Ltd. as a key member of our construction team.
Key Responsibilities- Work Site Environment: The successful candidate will be required to work at heights and outdoors.
- Work Setting: The Carpenter will be working in a construction environment, with various locations and relocation costs not covered by the employer.
- Tasks:
- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
- Estimate costs and materials.
- Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments.
- Work Terms: The position is permanent, with a work language of English and a typical work week of 30 to 40 hours.
