Your Role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Federal Business Unit. As a trusted advisor to our clients, you will represent their interests at all times to multiple stakeholders and provide technical and project leadership to the teams you oversee.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage complex major capital projects in the public sector, including educational, municipal, or institutional buildings, facilities, and essential infrastructure.
  • Manage project stakeholders from public and private sectors to represent their best interests regarding contractual and technical issues, manage change, and resolve issues.
  • Apply strong knowledge of various construction methodologies, project management models, and financial management, as well as building codes, contract law, and relevant legislation.
  • Collaborate with local and regional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Plan and coordinate project management activities, including procurement, risk, cost, schedule, scope, and record management.
  • Ensure appropriate resources are assigned to projects.
  • Provide financial frameworks, forecasts, and reports.
  • Utilize project management tools, such as Microsoft Projects, MS Word, and MS Excel.
  • Formulate and manage project plans by defining deliverables, identifying and procuring necessary resources, identifying key milestones, and reviewing project progress.
  • Prepare monthly project progress reports on project status, project schedules, project expenditures, and impending actions.
Qualifications
  • 7-10 years of experience in project management.
  • Project management experience within the Federal Government is preferred.
  • A university degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, or a related discipline.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional business writing ability and previous experience writing business cases are considered an asset.
  • Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Word), and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications.
  • PMP designation, OAA, or other industry-recognized credentials are an asset.
  • Must hold or be eligible for Federal Government security clearance at the Secret level.
