Student Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Student Supervisor to join our team at the Commission scolaire Central Québec / Central Québec School Board. As a Student Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive and respectful educational environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Student Safety and Well-being: Maintain a vigilant presence in the school to guarantee compliance with rules and student safety, by making regular rounds, intervening if necessary, and reporting any anomalies.
  • Support Students and Visitors: Act as a point of contact for students and visitors, guiding them and providing clear information on school regulations.
  • Provide Extra Support: Help students in need of extra support in a caring manner, whether for eating in the cafeteria, getting dressed, or getting around.
  • Collaborate with the Educational Team: Work closely with the educational team to ensure that student activities run smoothly and are supervised, and that the necessary resources are available.
  • Conflict Resolution and Safety: Intervene effectively in conflict resolution, provide first aid, and contribute to safety in case of emergency, in collaboration with the disciplinary team, if necessary.
  • Administrative Tasks: Manage room reservations, locker allocation, and equipment monitoring. Use IT tools to carry out administrative tasks and monitor activities, as required.
  • Qualifications and Requirements: Hold a 5th year high school diploma or an attestation of studies with recognition of equivalence. Possess one (1) year of relevant work experience favoring the development of a personal discipline, a basic understanding of psychology, or human relations skills. Have a good command of spoken English and a working knowledge of French. Hold a valid first aid certificate.
