Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Summer Analyst to join our Investments team in Toronto. In this role, you will support all investment, finance, strategy, risk, and portfolio management initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite real estate investment opportunities (acquisitions/dispositions) in both asset and corporate level structures, including performing asset and market due diligence.
- Assist in the valuation of our existing portfolio and provide asset management-related analysis and commentary on an as-needed basis.
- Support the transaction review process, including the review of global transaction approval submissions, financial analysis, and related underwriting models for all transactions and developments.
- Assist in the global and regional strategic planning process.
- Participate in the research, analysis, reporting, and execution of strategic and risk initiatives.
- Prepare various memoranda and presentations.
- Insightfully discuss and interpret results, identifying key investment considerations and risks.
Requirements
- A 3rd-year student pursuing an undergraduate degree in Commerce, Finance, Real Estate, Urban Planning, or Engineering.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling), PowerPoint, and Word, with knowledge of ARGUS DCF and ARGUS Enterprise considered an asset.
- A self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a high level of attention to detail.
