We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Continuing Care Assistant to join our team at Richmond Housing Corporation.

Job Summary:

The Continuing Care Assistant will provide high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring residents receive a balanced diet.
  • Support residents with mobility and transfer needs, using proper lifting and transfer techniques.
  • Monitor and report any changes in residents' condition, including vital signs and medication administration.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • College diploma or certificate in a related field (e.g., healthcare, social services).
  • 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a continuing care environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting.
