Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join their Home Oxygen Program team in Vancouver, BC. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing clients and their oxygen systems in their homes, clinics, or other community settings. You will perform ongoing respiratory care to clients with various illnesses or diseases, including acute and chronic respiratory conditions. Your goal will be to enhance the quality of life for clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess clients and their oxygen systems in various settings
  • Perform ongoing respiratory care to clients with various illnesses or diseases
  • Enhance quality of life for clients and their families
  • Liaise with internal and external partners regarding client care and therapies
  • Demonstrate continuous improvement and best practice approach in respiratory practice
  • Maintain and advance own clinical competence
  • Participate in committees, teams, and research projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program
  • Successful completion of the Health Professionals Testing Canada (HPTC) Credentialing Exam
  • Eligible for membership with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists and BC Society of Respiratory Therapists
  • Valid driver's license for local area travel
