Job Title: Occupational Therapist

At Lifemark, we are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in helping clients achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to work with our clients in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will have a strong background in assessing and treating clients with physical, neurological, and/or mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess clients' physical and cognitive functioning in a clinic setting, using various assessments such as job demands analyses, functional capacity evaluations, and cognitive abilities evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on analysis and clinical reasoning.
  • Educate clients on safe body mechanics, cognitive behavioral strategies, and functional tolerance activities.
  • Support return-to-work programs, including job coaching and accommodation recommendations.
  • Utilize e-charting software to document treatment sessions and submit reports to stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Participate in case conferences and case management.
  • Collaborate with the inter-professional team at your clinic.
  • Supervise Occupational Therapy students (as preferred).
  • Network with stakeholders to promote Lifemark OT programs.
  • Manage a caseload in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
  • Registration (member in good standing) with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists.
  • Previous experience treating clients with physical, neurological, and/or mental health conditions.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to post-graduate professional development.
  • Previous experience supporting auto insurance, long-term disability, and WSIB referrals is a strong asset.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
