Parts Advisor Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Parts Advisor to join our team at Thermo King Eastern Canada. As a Parts Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of parts to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safeguard inventory against shrinkage and conduct regular spot checks to maintain accuracy.
  • Order and receive main inventory and mobile inventories, ensuring timely delivery to customers.
  • Provide exceptional phone support to customers regarding parts, resolving issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Invoice and sell parts to customers, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Support technicians and service advisors in securing required parts to complete work orders, ensuring minimal downtime for customers.
  • Coordinate the return of cores from customers and vendors, ensuring timely processing and reimbursement.
  • Ensure confidentiality of suppliers and maintain accurate records of high-dollar items and pending orders/receipts.
  • Track and cycle count used units and heaters, ensuring accurate inventory levels.
  • Review work order parts usage, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Provide counter support for parts issues to the shop, ensuring seamless communication and resolution.
  • Deliver parts to customers' locations, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Source non-stock parts for service jobs, collaborating with suppliers to meet customer needs.
  • Receive and stock parts for the shop and service vehicles, maintaining accurate inventory levels.
  • Replenish assigned inventory daily, ensuring no shortage of stock on common items.

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of experience in parts and/or inventory management.
  • Valid forklift license and ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • High level of professionalism, with a strong focus on customer service and satisfaction.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling a large volume of work with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is required.
