Job Title: Veterinary Grief Counselor

At VCA Canada Animal Hospital, we are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Grief Counselor to join our team. As a Veterinary Grief Counselor, you will provide emotional support and guidance to individuals and families who are experiencing the loss of a beloved pet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to express their feelings of grief and loss.
  • Assess clients' emotional and psychological needs related to pet loss.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans and goals to address grief and promote healing.
  • Offer education and resources to support clients in their grief journey.
  • Collaborate with veterinarians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
Requirements:
  • A master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in grief counseling or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to empathize with individuals experiencing pet loss.
