About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team at JLL. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including preventative maintenance routines and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Track and store department inventory.
  • Perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 49lbs and standing/walking for up to 12 hours.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
  • 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment.
  • 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
  • 1+ years of metal and wood fabrication experience.
  • 1+ years of experience with blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
  • 1+ year of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles.
  • Procedure-based maintenance experience (PM).
  • Ability to use and interpret statistical equipment run metrics, such as OEE/Up Time, to prioritize tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
  • 2+ years of apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
  • Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards, in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety standards.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Knowledge of computer networking systems and infrastructure.
  • Experience with robotic or electromechanical operation and maintenance.
  • Able to troubleshoot basic input and output functions, low voltage signal tracing, and logical device troubleshooting.
  • Basic ability to use Linux command line interface.

Compensation

The estimated compensation for this position is $28.00 – $28.25 CAD per year. The pay range listed is a total compensation range, including bonus, if applicable.

Location

This role is based on-site in Sidney, BC.
