Job Title: Security Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team at Scarborough Health Network. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular security patrols of the hospital premises, including interior and exterior areas.
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Write accurate and detailed reports of incidents and events.
Requirements:
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
  • Proficient in English (both oral and written).
  • Degree in Police Foundations, Protection Security and Investigations, Criminology, or Border Services.
  • Knowledge of Trespass to Property Act (TPA), Mental Health Act of Ontario, Steps to Arrest and Criminal Code - Section 494.
  • Proof of double Covid Vaccination.
  • Immunization Record (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and TB skin tests 1 and 2).
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Level C Certification.
