- Assist dentists and hygienists with various tasks, such as taking X-rays, preparing instruments, and mixing materials.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical and dental histories.
- Order and manage dental supplies, ensuring that the dental laboratory is well-stocked and equipped.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, confirming patient information, and handling billing and insurance claims.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
- College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a dental setting, or equivalent experience.
- Registration with provincial or territorial authorities.
- Certification by the National Dental Assisting Examining Board.
