Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Electrician to join our team at Charlottetown Metal Products. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems and be capable of performing a variety of tasks related to installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a trades certificate or diploma in electrical technology.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the electrical field.
Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain electrical control systems and panel boxes.
  • Conduct repairs on electrical controls and panel boxes as needed.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance reports and documentation.
  • Splice, join, and connect electrical wires efficiently.
  • Test and measure voltage, loads, and ground faults to ensure circuit integrity.
  • Select appropriate materials and methods for installations in hazardous locations.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate electrical faults effectively.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and technical drawings.
  • Commission systems and components for operational readiness.
Certifications

Possession of an Electrician Trade Certification is required.

Equipment Proficiency
  • Experience with high voltage equipment.
  • Familiarity with instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLC).
