Job Summary:

Cineplex Entertainment is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our Entertainment Venue in Burnaby. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the success of our venue by driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and maintaining a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the venue team to achieve business objectives and drive sales growth.
  • Customer Experience: Ensure a high-quality customer experience by maintaining a clean and safe environment, providing excellent customer service, and implementing initiatives to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the venue, including managing inventory, controlling costs, and maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Team Management: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team to achieve business objectives and drive sales growth.
  • Financial Management: Manage the financial performance of the venue, including budgeting, forecasting, and controlling costs.
  • Marketing and Promotions: Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to drive sales growth and increase customer engagement.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a senior management role in the entertainment or hospitality industry.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and improving customer satisfaction.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business or a related field an asset.
