Position Overview

The Stock Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of our retail environment. Reporting directly to the Store Manager, this position is essential for overseeing the inventory management systems within the store.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the flow of merchandise receipts, ensuring timely processing and prioritization.
  • Maintain an organized backroom that meets company standards, adapting as necessary for seasonal changes.
  • Ensure efficient replenishment processes to keep the sales floor fully stocked with a variety of styles, colors, and sizes.
  • Monitor and address department changes, including sales performance and inventory needs.
  • Execute inventory-related procedures, including handling damages, transfers, and compliance documentation.
  • Oversee the supply ordering process to maintain adequate stock levels.
  • Lead the recruitment and development of stock associates, focusing on onboarding, performance assessment, and succession planning.
  • Support the physical inventory and cycle count processes, implementing strategies to minimize shrinkage.
  • Assist in visual merchandising and maintain presentation standards within the store.
  • Contribute to event preparation and execution, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in both the sales area and stockroom.
  • Stay informed about product and service updates to enhance customer engagement.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment to drive store success.
  • Adhere to all Loss Prevention policies and procedures.
  • Support the management of the sales floor and sales team as directed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience in a retail setting, preferably in apparel.
  • Strong presentation skills suitable for a retail atmosphere.
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to understand and respond to customer needs effectively.
  • Proven capability to gain support for ideas and initiatives.
