We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Youth Worker to join our team at Blue Sky Family Care Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide support and guidance to clients living in group homes, while also developing and implementing programs to promote their well-being and independence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess clients' needs and develop individualized plans to address their unique challenges
  • Provide crisis intervention and suicide prevention services as needed
  • Supervise activities and provide guidance to clients living in group homes
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive support
  • Implement behavior management programs to promote positive outcomes
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings to provide support and advocacy
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. social work, child and youth care)
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations, preferably in a group home setting
  • First Aid Certificate and ability to obtain a criminal record check
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
