About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Training Development Officer to join our team at the Canadian Armed Forces. As a key member of our training team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our military personnel receive the highest quality training and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct front-end analysis to define training requirements and develop training plans and instructional lessons.
  • Design, develop, and evaluate training programs to ensure they meet the needs of our military personnel.
  • Conduct staff professional development and integrate instructional technology into the classroom setting.
  • Lead subject matter experts and instructors in developing training from the ground up, from classroom to simulator to field exercises.
  • Advise senior leadership on training doctrine and policy, and provide insights and analysis on how to best train our military personnel.
What You'll Need

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theory.
  • Experience with instructional technology and simulation-based training.
