Job Title: Countertop Templater Technician

About the Role:

FLOFORM Countertops is seeking a skilled Countertop Templater Technician to join our team in Edmonton. As a Templater, you will be responsible for creating digital files/templates to be used in creating the final product. This involves programming CNC routers and preparing CAD files both in-shop and on-job sites for fabrication of custom countertops in a range of materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to customers' homes/businesses to create templates
  • Complete work orders noting all required measurements, polished edges, cut-outs, and radiuses in the tops
  • Advise customers of any modifications required and provide critical information to the customer concerning the templating and installation processes
  • Respond to general customer inquiries while on-site and communicate any relevant information to the salesperson, Operations staff, or Production staff in a timely basis
  • Ensure all work orders and completed templates are submitted no later than 24-48 hours from the time of templating
  • Maintain the company vehicle interior and exterior
  • Create accurate digital drawings of countertops and sinks for installation

Requirements:

  • Relevant post-secondary education with 1-2 years of experience with Microsoft office products, AutoCAD, and CAM software
  • Experience with kitchen and/or bathroom construction, installation, or similar
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Templating or Fabrication/Installation/Drafting
  • Experience with digital templating
  • Experience in reading blueprints/schematics, etc., along with experience with measurements and intermediate mathematical skills
  • Valid driver's license and a clear criminal record check
