The Mine Maintenance Coordinator, reporting to the Mine Maintenance General Supervisor, plays a crucial role in the planning, scheduling, equipment management, and parts procurement for the Maintenance Department.

This role serves as a vital link between the Maintenance Planning Group, the Maintenance Supervisor, and Operations. The Coordinator will oversee the workflow of equipment through the maintenance shop, ensuring adherence to schedules and facilitating necessary adjustments for urgent tasks. The Coordinator will assist the Supervisor and Tradespeople in determining the requirements for the safe and efficient execution of ongoing work.

This position operates on a 7x7, 12-hour day/night shift rotation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide essential information to Supervisors and Tradespeople regarding scheduled work (e.g., parts, scope, etc.)
  • Compile necessary work packages for emergency tasks (e.g., existing job plans, permits, parts lists, etc.)
  • Coordinate additional resources or modifications needed for ongoing projects (e.g., special equipment, deliverables, etc.)
  • Act as the primary contact for urgent work requests and revisions to scheduled tasks.
  • Confirm initiation dates for work orders based on priority and production requirements.
  • Ensure the quality and proper status of work orders for requests, ongoing tasks, and completed work each shift.
  • Assist in the allocation of parts and resources to maintenance bays and warehouses for all active scheduled and emergency jobs.
  • Facilitate the creation and coordination of weekly schedules with the planning and scheduling team.
  • Support compliance with schedules through daily execution by the teams.
  • Exemplify safety leadership by adhering to and promoting safety and environmental protocols.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED), or equivalent.
  • Technical expertise in mine maintenance, such as a Journeyperson's ticket in Heavy Duty Mechanics or a relevant post-secondary degree/diploma.
  • Understanding of mechanical, welding, and electrical functions.
  • Knowledge of maintenance procedures and processes.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Comprehension of planning and scheduling principles and practices.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Salary Range: $105,000 - $129,000

The actual base salary offered will be based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies, while also considering internal equity.
